Libraries · Barrie, Ontario
Custom Home Libraries in Barrie, with no sag in them.
Books are heavier than most shelving admits. Spans are kept short, shelves are thickened and edged, and long walls get a ladder rail so the top shelf stays usable. Barrie basements and new-build kitchens make up a steady share of the calendar each year.
Shelves that carry the load
Adjustable shelving sized to the span so a full row of hardcovers never bows the middle.
Ladder rails and lighting
Brass rails on long runs and integrated picture lights wired into the carcass.
Rooms, not bookcases
Base, crown, jambs and reveals detailed so the shelving reads as part of the architecture.
Home offices and libraries in Barrie often replace a formal dining room nobody uses. Built-in shelving on three walls with a desk return, finished to match the trim, makes the room work without making it feel like an office.
Libraries built in our Orillia shop and installed across Orillia, Barrie, Severn, Gravenhurst.

Consultations happen on site, with a tape measure. Bring the room, not a mood board.
